David began working with the late Stuart Thompson in 2008 and together they formed Thompson Turner Productions in 2015. David previously managed numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway plays and musicals as well as worked for The Public Theatre, Circle Repertory Company, Manhattan Theatre Club, and The Spoleto Festival. From 1994 to 2007 he founded and ran the Adirondack Theatre Festival, a summer theatre dedicated to new and contemporary work where he produced more than 60 plays and musicals and led the construction of a new theatre in a vacant Woolworths store in Glens Falls, NY. David graduated from the University of Michigan after growing up in western Michigan and Toronto, Canada.
